This year’s Children in Need appeal is quickly approaching! We are going to be doing a huge amount in School, for all pupils from Nursery up to Primary 7, to help support this amazing cause and have been busy as a Pupil Council getting organised for our fundraising adventures.
Our Staff will be taking part in a sweepstake to help raise some money – this will be run during the week of the 12th of November.
Selling wrist bands and key chains
Our Pupil Council will be round all classes from Monday the 12th of November selling amazing pudsy pin badges and wrist bands to all pupils. All pin badges and wrist bands are £1 each. These will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

The Great Kinmylies Bake Off
This year, our Pupil Council have decided that they would also like to organise a ‘Kinmylies Bake Off’ event. If you and your child would like to take part, please create something yummy (cakes, cupcakes, biscuits, tablet etc….) and bring it in to school on Thursday the 15th of November, with name and class on. The cakes will be judged in categories and rosettes given to winning entries! The entry fee is £1. After the cakes are judged, pupils will have a chance to buy some cakes for themselves so pupils should bring some pennies on the day!
It is Anti Bullying Week next week and to help celebrate everyone’s individuality, we have decided to take part in odd socks day. There is no pressure on the children to wear the latest fashion or for parents to buy expensive costumes. All they have to do to take part is wear odd socks to school, it couldn’t be simpler! Odd Socks day will take place on the first day of Anti Bullying Week, Monday 12th November 2018 to help raise awareness around anti-bullying. You do not have to raise money to take part – the most important thing is the message of Odd Socks Day, having fun and celebrating our individuality.
